Turn your institution’s assessment policy into clear grade bands and consistent results.
Define the grading policy before teachers begin entering scores. Test boundary cases so a mark is never assigned an unexpected grade.
01 // SETUP
Open System Settings → Grading and set the grade labels, score ranges and relevant GPA points for your policy.
Check that the ranges cover all valid scores without unintended gaps or overlaps. Confirm the default scale rather than assuming a template matches your institution.
02 // SETUP
In Academics → Results, select the intended scale and define the assessment components and their maximum scores.
Check the total against your policy. Give teachers a shared explanation of missing marks, zero scores and any approved exceptions.
03 // SETUP
Test scores at each grade boundary and inspect both the gradebook and report-card presentation.
Review a sample across classes before publishing. If the policy changes, agree how existing results should be handled before editing a scale already in use.
